Time to Impress with Prezi!
Amazing dynamic presentations! After watching the Coca Cola presentation at prezi.com I knew I had to learn how to use Prezi, so I did. It took me a while but if you really pay attention to the 3 basic tutorial videos it should be easier. Prezi is something I will definitely use next semester for my presentations.

The Social Workplace
Before watching this video I had not thought about how organizations were managing and encouraging online collaboration among their employees. The video help me to understand how important it is for companies to adjust to emerging technologies no just toward their customers but inside of the organization as well. Online collaboration could bring top management closer to lower rank employees by allowing management to listen to what their employees want to share. For example, microblogging could help management to collect different point of views of how employees perceive the organization and its operations base on their own work experiences. This could be of great benefit because it could point out weak areas or processes in the organization and lead to more efficient mechanisms or to a better company structure.

Animoto Video
I love the website! Since I used the free version I guess the options are pretty limited however it is simple to use. You just need a story, a couple of pictures, and a catchy song, have fun!

Scrambled Little Things
I scrambled my blog's content using Wordle. The program does not give you the option to save your work as an image, however I was able to save a copy of my work by using windows snipping feature. To access this feature I clicked in all programs and then opened the accessories' folder... and that's another little thing a learned today!

Time to Be Funky
Thanks to befunky.com my website doesn't look square and boring anymore. I was able to play with some of the website's features and modify all the pictures I have in my website. I even changed my blog's profile picture (see below) and the images on my wiki. I love the website and all the options that it offers such as photo effects, frames, speech bubbles, etc. You can also add little graphics, farm animals, accessories, and ornaments to your pictures. I had so much fun, you should all try it!

Gina's Wiki and More Little Things...
Tutorials were really helpful in showing us how to operate the program however, it is difficult to decide what to include in your wiki and how to make it interesting. In contrast to websites, wikis do not have fixed information and they must encourage collaboration from others.
Wiki is one of many applications that emerge as part of the big transformation or evolution from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0. On my Wiki I show some of the projects I have done for this class using some of those applications and I also list some other new technologies. If you know of any other emerging application or technology please feel free to add it!

BESO Website
Well, I was a little scared about this project. Websites have always seem to me kind of complicated, but after a full day of work I found out that there is nothing scary about the program (for this proyect I used NVU). You do not need to know any kind of secret codes, they built themselves when you click different icons and options. The hard part of creating a website it is definitely to figure out what you want on it. Since I work for the Bilingual Program at the College of Education, I took advantage of the opportunity to create the BESO (Bilingual Education Student Organization) website. I really wish I had Photoshop or knew how to use any other design program to make the website looked as cool as the one in the tutorial videos... jajaja mine looks a little too square. Anyway, I will post the link to my website when I figure out how to publish it.
Dropbox: A Place to Store Any Kind of Things!
Dropbox is an absolutely useful storage tool for any person, it is easy to use and really convenient. I opened an account a year ago but I never downloaded the actual Dropbox (the little box icon) so I never used it and completely forgot about it. A week ago I reactivated my account and I am loving it! I downloaded Dropbox to my laptop and to my office computer and now I have instant access to all my school work and personal files.

Social Bookmarking Simply Delicious!
I have to confessed that at the beginning I did not get it. I bookmarked some of the websites that I have used for another classes and some of my favorite ones, but those sites are stored in my head so I did not see the use of my new Delicious account. However, everything changed when I started following the delicious accounts of people who had also tag my favorite websites because... I found new really interesting and similar websites!!! Four NETS for Better Seaching
When I use Google I try to be as specific as possible, so I actually have never used advance search in Google before. The worksheet helped me to see the difference and I found the advance search option extremely useful especially the similar to and linked to features.

Little Things We Learn Everyday...
Here I am building my first blog! I am not a technology savvy but I am really curious about new little things, so I skipped the tutorial and started over-clicking everywhere and I think I got it!
I named my blog little things because I have always found amazing how little things can make a difference in a person's life or a situation. I am pretty sure we are going to learn a lot of little things in this class and even if we do not use them right away they can make a difference in our future.
